A couple of other birds from the raptor demonstration at the ren faire: Harris's Hawk Luna and Eurasian Eagle Owl Ringo (who is molting and a little scrungly because of this)

Horned Grebe babies learn how to dive and hunt very quickly. In the marsh I’m watching, they seem to catch mostly leeches or dragonfly nymphs. This junior grebe has just surfaced with, and subdued, a dragonfly nymph that will soon go down the hatch! #Birds 🪶

Scrungliest beach baby

This is an all-black songbird with a straight, black bill. Its glossy adult wing feathers have come in, while its legs, belly and head are still covered in fuzzy down. The adult feathers don't sit quite right on the baby down, so they're sticking out at odd angles.

I love when gulls fly over to say hi to their friend, but everybody has to yell about it

here's another throwback from 2016 a private poster commission inspired by Moby Dick honestly still really love this one, both the concept and execution i worked on pre-inked scratchboard for this one (so fully black) instead of the usual white claybord that i ink myself 30x40cm
