Look: I like infill development as much as the next guy, but you can't say "we're going to reverse gentrification" and "rents collapsed" when all your chart shows is rents partially reversed a sudden spike but are still 15% higher than they were four years ago.

If housing advocates like me get our way, we are going to reverse the gentrification of San Francisco. We are going to build so many apartments that regular families can, once again, buy a home here. Austin upzoned, builders built a ton of housing, rents collapsed. SF can do the same.

The love for Dolly is so widespread and unimpeachable that it's got the president lowering flags to half-mast. She won a Grammy for a song about sexual harassment, created a country anthem for a movie about a trans woman's road trip, and personally funded development of an MRNA vaccine for COVID.

Imagine being talented and beautiful and rich and famous and still the most noteworthy thing about you is how good a person you are.

Is there a training camp where they teach NYT headline writers to do Extreme Passive Voice? This makes it sound like the President's signature legislative accomplishment and defining war of choice are just things that happened to him and his Definitely Sincere Campaign Promise

By now, you've heard that the Trump administration took a major step today towards rolling back protections for some of the country's wilder, more remote forests — ostensibly to reduce wildfires. Research shows, it'll do just the opposite. calmatters.org/environment/...

Trump wants more roads and logging in California forests. Here’s the wildfire risk

The rollback could open more than 4 million acres to development, even as research shows roads can increase wildfire ignitions.

The Plattner campaign demonstrated that we have a party in which 1) voters will enthusiastically support an anti-war progressive populist, and 2) credible accusations of sexual assault are disqualifying. Both are good and I am baffled that people are getting angry at each other on the internet.

Feels like Trump 2.0 foreign policy is being run by a sycophantic AI HEGSETH: Let's overthrow the Islamic Republic CHAT47: Great idea, here are war plans that will 100% succeed KHAMENEI Jr.: Give us $300bn instead CHAT47: Brilliant! Here is a peace agreement that will 100% endure.

A friend is home from oral surgery. Her sister went to the pharmacy for a bottle of Norco (opiate pain reliever) and they accidentally gave her a bag of Narcan (reverses overdoses). For reasons, she now can't get the drugs she was supposed to until tomorrow. Friends: *always* double-check the meds.

On March 2, Malika's mother was killed by an Israeli strike. Her last act alive was using her body to protect 4yo Malika, who sustained burns, shrapnel to her face, and damage to her eye. I wrote about how this war is impacting children in Lebanon www.aljazeera.com/features/202...

Lebanon’s children face physical, psychological trauma amid Israel’s war

Experts warn of lasting trauma for Lebanon's children as war continues to shatter their sense of safety.

Musk buying twitter, Bezos buying WaPo, Ellison buying CBS—all are less profitable now. But they’re political investments that increase the value of the new owners’ portfolios Wealth concentration makes this possible, and that’s one mechanism by which inequality destroys democracy
