This also reminds me of the show-runner of Darkwing Duck talking about how canon can help, but it has to serve good stories, and that old comic book and radio heroes often have conflicting canons so if a writer needed to break canon to tell a better story do it. The story is the important bit.

Politics is like business in that it often holds the mistaken belief that it's best to appeal to as many people as possible, instead of being actively or even passionately wanted by a sufficient, smaller amount of the market. You do not need whole market capture for sufficiency.

Off to another bumpy start. Had to unjam the camera (again), the new roll of film once again has the paper reversed so the end numbers are at the start AND it's Kodak not Ilford so no positioning circles, and the first two frames cocking the shutter released the mirror. Fuck it, we roll anyway.

There were complications (should’ve followed FPP’s dev time not Massive Dev’s but 6 minutes sounded short for ISO 400, film paper is backwards so it started in the wrong spot, camera didn’t lock on frame 10) but nonetheless there are in fact Komaflex negatives. And the survivors look SHARP.
If you’re that annoyed by being behind bikes maybe take the traffic artery one road over instead of the designated bike route residential street iunno
my favorite part of shooting on film is when the scans come back and they suck ass. it builds character
One hour until I head home and load the Komaflex-S with real film. We're almost there.

Casey Explosion@caseyexplosion.bsky.social · yesterdayOne of the things I find so off-putting about AI generated imagery is just how overgreebled it is, it always adds too much detail, and when it comes to trying to depict food, it ends up looking like it's crawling with insects or triggering trypophobia, it's extremely off-putting.
I don't actually believe in hell but a 100 person Bluesky group chat has me reconsidering that stance

There are still edge cases where I have to use Amazon: they've cornered the market on some (mostly cheap sundry) things, and some brands and things use them for their own e-shop. But, I do all I can to exhaust other sources first.
