THEORY: Sauron imprisoned Celeborn BEFORE ADAR KILLED HIM & it was BECAUSE he'd heard about Galadriel & wanted to have her on his side even back then so wanted Cel as bait & then she climbed up onto his raft & he was like "Jackpot" & this is also why he ate clams at the pub in Numenor.

To be fair to Galadriel, he does kind of look like a silver clam.
