Made progress on various things today, including cutting off the wolf head from the Ulric priest. Took bloody ages, but he’s now in a place where I can attempt to sculpt some fur round the back.

That’s the 6th event of 2026 completed, I goal I’ve had for a few years but never reached. 3 Old World, 3 MESBG. The Kislev however are retiring from competitive play (till they get a proper army list anyway). They just got no fight in them. Did get a another best painted/coolest army though.
The Red Scorpion Vanguard Veterans have had their baptism in the sacred waters (Army Painted Strong Tone). Need to do the grey metallics, then I can start on the fun step of highlighting. #Nerdlings
Spent yesterday playing more Old World: Battlemarch. As per tradition the Kislev mostly got battered. I did win 1… of 5. Did however win the more important prize of coolest army. #Nerdlings
More Scorpions have arrived 👀 Chopping off the left shoulders isn’t exactly easy. But I want to give them smooth yellow ones, so they match the others. The new shoulders will need to hide many sins.
I’ve been harvesting heads from old marines, so I can convert more Red Scorpions.
The Erengrad Horse and Donkey Rehabilitation Centre is back in business.

Today’s progress. Got the sternguard undercoated and done all the sponge-painting. Hopefully get them finished tomorrow. #Nerdlings
Lysander and the sternguard arrived, so I’ve finally got 1000pts for the Red Scorpions. The sternguard are mostly held together with white tack for undercoating, and de-fisting Lysander was a trial. #Nerdlings
Even in death, I still serve. Done, other than a varnish. Just waiting on some Sternguard and Lysander to turn up, and I’ll have 1000pts. #Nerdlings
Today I painted the yellow parts, and done the transfers, for the contemptor dreadnought. #Nerdlings
The social anxiety deamon was defeated, and I went and played Blood on the Clocktower in person.

The Red Scorpions terminators are done. Still have Caanok Var to finish, though I might switch him out with Lysander. #Nerdlings
More progress. The stripes on the legs were harder to do than the head plate, but I’m still happy. A deep turquoise contrast over black has made the gun look very interesting.
Seven terminators fully glued together. Now they have the white and yellow bits on, they really pop. #Nerdlings
Transfers are all done. Just need to finish 10 helmets and I can glue everything together. #Nerdlings
