Scottish Women’s Budget Group is on a mission to make women visible in Scotland’s budgets – at local and national levels. We do this by supporting the use of gender budgeting across Scotland. Without this, women’s inequality remains in budgets. 1/2

The hill(s) I will die on. Arthur's Seat & Salisbury Crags are separate hills. Separate geologically, topographically and on Ordnance Survey maps. Yesterday's fire was on the slopes of Salisbury Crags. Many news sources, the fire service & even Historic Environment Scotland have got this wrong!

Snip of Ordnance Survey map of Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, showing that Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags are separate hills.

Dear journalists, pesky immigrant here, so what do I know … But here’s a visual aid for you: Manchester is not “the north”. Seriously: it’s actually getting insulting now given how many have pointed out how wrong and unhelpful all of that nonsense is (and even within a northern England corridor).

Map of the UK that shows how Manchester wouldn’t even be the middle.

There's a sex robot company trying to pivot to having their sex robots be teaching robots for rural schools instead. And I swear to God, we got all of the dumbest parts of Cyberpunk.

CAIRNGORMS WILDFIRE UPDATE: The reindeer who were in the Paddocks/Hill Enclosure have been let out onto the mountains to roam freely - they are not close to the fire and will keep themselves safe. If you have a booking for Thursday, we will keep you up to date via email as the situation progresses.

One small joy in highland cycling - the Kilcoy road has been resurfaced - and is now smooth tarmac rather than 90% pothole 🖤 makes the redcastle loop lots nicer
