Thanks to everyone who has voted in this so far - very interesting battle at the top right now that could go any number of ways. TMBG or XTC? The Colourfield or Colourbox? Chas N Dave or Ric N Jen? Neil Innes or Napalm Death? Only you can decide! noiseboxradio.com/anthems/

Does anyone else struggle in Summer? I am an Autumn boy to the core and I find July / August really tough on the brain for some reason. I'm sure there's some science behind it but generally I don’t seem to have gotten the mental motor out of...whatever the bad gear in cars is. I refuse to check.
Noisebox Anthems IV is live! Here's a selection of the sort of stuff we play every day on @noiseboxradio.com but we want to know which you like most. I'll count down the top 50 live on Monday 31st August like I'm one of those Bruno Brookeses they used to have. noiseboxradio.com/anthems/
Last one of these tonight at 8pm. A bunch of songs and clips with a summery sort of...oh you know. noiseboxradio.com as bloody always.
I didn’t check Trivago...AND BOY ARE MY ARMS TIRED!!!!!!!!!111111111111 Please have me destroyed.
Now that is a double bill, friends. I'm fairly sure Neil Morrissey is in both too.
You can still buy Prime Minister You Wanted to See Me?, and it seems you can now buy it for a tenner. Ian and I are very proud of it. It is an enormous book though and you may have to move house as a result. www.tvbrain.info/shop/books/p...

@whenisbirths.bsky.social @greavesian.bsky.social few months old but just been listening to this and your Weekending book gets a mention (first five minutes) youtu.be/lvBKQq_I6mM?...
Worth hearing the show for the amazing XTC, Squeeze and M/A/R/R/S covers. But mostly because its great and I am 10/10 top DJ (muscles) A++ would eBay again. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone who listened live tonight. The recording will be on my Patreon and Mixcloud as ever whilst Garlic Beer will probably be rescinding any offers of sponsorship in the future. www.patreon.com/BenBaker2000
I'm live on the radio tonight at 8pm where I promise to hardly ever mention the A word. And I don’t mean "Asbestosis". Come say hi. noiseboxradio.com
Researching the Footlights and it's impressive this newspaper article manages to get three of the five named performers' names wrong.
Who can forget that ill-advised story arc in Coronation Street where Mike Baldwin got one of those extending tin penises from Japan?

Tonight at 7pm. Some songs and some nonsense. Enjoy? noiseboxradio.com
Tomorrow night at 7pm on @noiseboxradio.com I'll be looking back at last year's Noisebox Anthems chart before the launch of the brand new one. If uncontrollable excitement were bees, you'd be stung to death with the fun we have in store...

There is something inherently funny to me about the word "naughty". Unless its that bloody Mr Punch puppet saying it in which case I might pull my own ears off.
CALL NOW FOR HOT RAT ACTION (no guinea pigs pls, we've discussed this)
There's a Last of the Summer Wine with this Wiki note: "An apparent appearance by Peter Sallis and Frank Thornton in an outdoor scene is achieved by green screen technology." I desperately want this footage to be comped into a Marvel film now. Just confused 90 year old men rotating in space.
Today's unrequested Last Of The Summer Wine rewatch opinion: I like Russ Abbot a lot (see the recent @pantosplaining.bsky.social) but his character doesnt work. It's like Foggy with a head injury. Shame because Brian Murphy and Frank Thornton's Alvin and Truly were really good additions to the cast.
