I was just explaining to my daughter how when I was in 7th grade, my pre-ordered gold cartridge Ocarina of Time was such a magical experience I spent all day at school thinking about it every day. Then I realized, she will be in 7th grade when the remake comes out. 🥹
The Resident Evil remakes are amazing, top-tier modern games, but the original Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror masterpiece that no remake can ever reproduce. I’m amazed at what they accomplished with the technology. It feels like they achieved more than many modern games do today.

Kudos to Dave Filoni and whoever else at Disney who needs credit for putting Steve Blum in an AAA film. Typically even a fully established animated character with a legendary voice actor would get recast with a Chris Pratt type Hollywood actor to do the voice.

Summer 2026 was just rewritten. Yesterday I bought Vampire Crawlers, and today I discovered that Hades II was released on PS5. After getting platinum in RE9, I was planning on circling back to finish the plat on RE4 and RE8. They will have to wait, as well as cracking open Ghost of Yotei.
I think if you go back and play MGS, it’s all there. DS2, in a lot of ways, is a consummation of threads he’s been pulling for a few decades. I’m definitely not into Kojima worship, as if he has no flaws. I have real indignation toward his treatment of voice actors. Still, he’s an auteur.

Today is the tenth anniversary of Firewatch's release. It remains the thing I'm most proud to have worked on. There's more of me inside of Firewatch than in any other game—and I have no doubt there are others on the team who would say the same about themselves. Thanks to everyone who ever played it.
