Cape Verde, now a stable democracy, has a fascinating & violent history. It’s where Portuguese companies pioneered a trans-Atlantic plantation system with sugar, cotton and trafficked African captive labour. From there plantation slavery was exported to the Americas. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

I am celebrating one year on BlueSky🎉 I never anticipated I would be in a community that shares such magnificent artistry of words & photos, while also showing so much kindness & support -and joy & fun!! You are awesome people Thank you my friends I posted this tree my first day on BlueSky

Photo from Bar Harbor, Maine.

There is a path that has a wall that was built to include a most lovely little tree -I found this to be wonderful-happiness. It’s a foggy morning along the coast, the ocean off to the left side, a white picket fence on the right side and the sun is trying to shine through.

This was an early morning, lovely time of reflection along a path with the sun, water and most importantly a Lovely Tree

Trying to build the future I want to see. A minimalistic one where I do what I love and have passion for. Trying to relearn and get better at what I’m good at @ 23 Hoping it makes sense at @ 25
