I occasionally remember that the actors who play Montalbano and Lolita Lobosco are married and this makes me very happy.
www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consum... I fricking love that the torygraph, that campaigned on and on and on for *expletive redacted* brexit, is now telling people how to lead a pale shadow of the life they could before. Fuckers.

IMPORTANT AND EXCITING NEWS!!!! We have finished the Christmas Cake.
...a few years ago we did some Zippy content and were contacted by Tom Hayes, regular listener of the pod and son of Geoffrey. He informed us that Zippy and George were happily living out their retirement with Tom's mum following the passing of his dad in 2018... 2/3

The 6502 had no hardware multiply, so programmers used lookup tables. Store the squares of 0-511 in a table, then use the identity (a*b) = ((a+b)^2 - (a-b)^2) / 4. Two table lookups and a subtraction instead of a shift-and-add loop. The 6502 taught you math tricks no textbook covered.

PlayStation ending physical games is "like Apple removing the CD Drive from its laptops," says analyst: "Not a single person is complaining about it today"
"This time a new laptop will cost $5k and my old one with a disc drive works just fine"

I have elderly not very computer-comfortsble parents at a distance. Trying to talk them through registering for NHS online has destroyed me. Film yourself reading these random numbers? Come *on*.
