Habitually make things up, mostly in comic book form. Writer of The Queen's Favorite Witch and Santa Claus Vs the Nazis, among other things. I have a shop and a mailing list on my website, here: Benjamindickson.com
I'll be tabling in MCM London next weekend, in Artists Alley table P-09. Come and say hi!
I unfortunately stumbled over Trump's AI video being besties with a fucking tiger. I have to say, by far the most unrealistic part of the video is Trump being able to run.
Thanks to all those involved in LICAF, I had a nice time and am now bloody exhausted. Thanks also to all those who came by my table!
I'm tabling at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal this weekend. Come and say hi! Oh and buy my books. Buy them. BUY THEM.
Great Hi-Vis con yesterday, thanks to Ollie and everyone who helped put the show on. Being a free entry con it meant a lot of mums with young kids were there - they're not my audience (most of my books are fairly adult), but it's wonderful to see them in attendance.
I will be tabling at Hi-Vis comic con in Birmingham tomorrow, come and say hi if you're going! highviscomic-con.com

I just finished reading Edge of the Grave by @robbiemorrison.bsky.social, it's an excellent crime thriller set in 1930s gangland Glasgow. Very highly recommended.
TV show idea: Mental Rentals. Every week an undercover reporter seeks out the most insanely unpleasant, most insanely expensive and generally most insane rentals on the market, punctuated by talking heads of people's craziest experiences as renters.
Thank you to everyone who bought a copy of Chamberlain over the last few days! They are in the post. (You can still buy one here: www.benjamindickson.com )

Huge thanks to Kieron Gillen for this review!
I picked up CHAMBERLAIN at Caption, and read over the weekend. I was both impressed and also more than a littkle shocked that it hasn't got a larger publisher yet. With its clean-line, clear storytelling and deliberate, sophisticaed purpose, it gives a vivid period portrait and is a tense thriller.
There's a review of Children of the Moon, mine and James McKay's prehistoric werewolf story, on the Awesome Comics Podcast. Thank you to the reviewers for being so positive! You can listen to it here (the review is around 1:46:00): share.google/vOWVNynErl9v...

Count Binface said he was going to nationalise Adele, but the media isn't reporting that as if it's actually going to happen.
I assume Farage didn't turn up to his own election results because he knew every newspaper photo the next day would have him standing next to Count Binface.
Just watched The Odyssey. I thought it was excellent, maybe even a masterpiece. I haven't read the original, I'm assuming it's a fairly loose adaptation but I have no idea.
I'll be exhibiting at MCM London this October!
The Bayeux Tapestry isn't really from Bayeux, it was almost certainly made in England. Also it's not actually a tapestry, it's an embroidery. Basically everything is a lie, nothing is real.
Count Binface is not to be trifled with. For a start, he doesn't eat trifle.
My goodness, Paddy O'Connell comes across as a proper prick here. From the start calling Count Binface by the wrong name — ‘Bin’ — twice when asked not to. And then trying some sort of weird gotcha exposé on him mid interview. #newsnight

People of Clacton: if you REALLY want to say fuck you to the whole establishment, vote for Count Binface.
I saw this in the cinema, it's a great little low-budget indie thriller. Well worth your time.
If you missed GAME (the indie thriller I wrote the screenplay for) on its UK & Ireland cinema tour, fear not. Today it’s available to rent from all the usual places. Follow @invadafilms.bsky.social for more info.
There is an astonishing shortage on social media of people photoshopping Mr Blobby into Angine de Poitrine performances. Come on people, what's wrong with you? It couldn't be more obvious!
This morning I was contemplating a story called "Ned Dawn", in which a middle class housewife wakes up to find everyone in her village has been replaced by clones of @nedhartley.com

I would like to see a spin-off of Doctor Who entirely about the Daleks after they have conquered Earth, set in one street and how all the Daleks that live on that street are constantly arguing with each other, having relationship dramas and threatening to exterminate each-other.
