Donald Trump has made well over $2 BILLION since taking office. Meanwhile, he kicked at least 4.5 million people off SNAP. He gets richer and more children get hungrier. This is not what was promised.

One reason for the high % opposition to data centers is it’s a place to put the deep and very reasonable unease people feel at an emerging, powerful, impossible to understand technology controlled by people we know are not trustworthy and may wish to actively harm us.

Good for Carney and Canada, standing up for themselves. The US trade war demand is essentially “let us bully you into subservience.” Appeasement doesn’t work. What a stupid, self-harming effort by the US. Took one of the most productive, mutually beneficial alliances in history and threw it away.

A massive explosion happened in an open area used as a parking lot in the southern Taiwanese city of Tainan, in the early hours of August 22. The explosion led to several injuries and fires in residential houses nearby. Firefighters say the exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

This might get underreported but take note. The USA has threatened to unleash economic hell of those who trade with Iran. The Chinese just called the US bluff. If the USA meekly accepts the Chinese rebuke (which it probably will), the US is acknowledging how weak it is. www.cnn.com/2026/08/21/w...

The MSM completely missed the gravity of last night's Ukrainian missile strike on the Progress Rocket Center in Samara, Russia. This isn't just another industrial fire. This is the definitive end of independent Russian space dominance and a massive blow to their national pride. 1/5

NEWS: Another 60 U.S. service members wounded in Trump's Iran war have been added to the Pentagon’s casualty count, bringing the total to 775: 18 killed and 757 wounded. The Pentagon has not said when or where the newly reported injuries occurred.

Late tonight, the USPS caved to Trump. How bad is its legal reasoning Here is a sample: "Although ballot mail does not present precisely the same operational issues as cremated remains or replica explosives, it is unquestionably sensitive mail that raises unique operational considerations."

For the last seven months straight, the U.S. government has refused to process immigrant visas for nationals of 75 countries around the world; including visas for spouses of U.S. citizens. Today, a federal judge ruled the policy flagrantly illegal.

The State Department’s sweeping suspension of immigrant visas to nationals from 75 countries violated federal immigration law and exceeded Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statutory authority, a district court ruled Friday.
