On the rare occasions I do fan art it’s either of things that are old and irrelevant or new but nobody cares and it gets cancelled (I’m looking at you everyone who ignored Terminator Zero 😡). So I hope this doesn’t continue the Benji fanart curse of nobody giving a crap! Lanterns is the best btw 💚

16 years ago I saw The Prodigy for the first time. In 2023 I released my graphic novel ‘DEADSHEET’, my love letter to The Matrix, Stephen King, 90’s rave culture and The Prodigy. In 2024 it won a National Award. Last night I got to give The Prodigy their own personal copies. What the hell is life!?
This was so damn good! And the whole time reading it I’m like “Man this reminds me of Sword of the Atom I need to re-read Sword of the Atom” and then I read the afterword and of course @jason-aaron.bsky.social mentions Sword of the Atom.
Moving house and making comics don’t mix but I got one page done in the last week.

I just stood for 2 minutes watching a sparrow battling a huge moth on the ground and it was epic. I was imagining being an ant and watching it like a kaiju fight. The sparrow won. Anyway. Everyone should read Dawnrunners by @therightram.bsky.social for equally epic battles.
Look tomorrow is gonna be a drag and it’s so easy to feel discouraged but you only have to hang in there a little bit longer good things are coming

Finally caught up on ‘Dawnrunner’by @therightram.bsky.social and Evan Cagle. What a stunning book. Can feel the Evangelion influence but this book is absolutely its own amazing thing.
I slept on Bring Down The House because when I see Zatanna I think “Oh she says stuff backwards except when it’s inconvenient for the plot” 😆 So the idiot I am missed out on the most beautiful @javierrodriguez.bsky.social art I’ve ever seen. But thanks to some hunting I fixed that mistake.
