Ben Matheson@benmatheson.bsky.social · 10mo agoPlanters are absolutely everywhere. They shield what would are certainly busy roads to the point that the microscopic sidewalk cafes can exist. I think planters should be deployed much more broadly in the U.S.=> cheap, modular, and I think pretty effective. benjmatheson.substack.com/p/the-recipe...

1957 Kiddieland, a miniature amusement park in Anchorage on Old Seward south of Dowling. It opened in 1954, closed circa 1958, and was most famous for its little Alaska Railroad train. Another Kiddieland opened on Fireweed in 1965. Via Anchorage Museum #alaskahistory #alaska
