The Irish Freedom Party is to be struck off the register of electors in a seeming row over control of the party. The registrar of political parties says he has received two separate, conflicting and incomplete filings on the party’s situation in recent months.

Interesting update! Have spoken to EMI about this: • Their NI sample is conducted by Lucid Talk, without identifying EMI • Blind sample (n=1200) was 45% Catholic, 40% Protestant, 15% other • However: questions have an obvious EU lens - people will answer Qs about unity through the lens of Europe

But one striking finding elsewhere: residents of N Ireland are also surveyed, and 63% (!!??) would vote in favour of a United Ireland. No mainstream poll has *ever* recorded a margin like this…

The Building Energy Rating (BER) system will change from next month. There will be a new top category for zero-emissions, fossil fuel-free buildings - and a small number of poorly insulated homes could end up with a different rating under the new rules. jrnl.ie/7021227
