Marsh Fritillaries Euphydryas aurinia starting to fly at some of the Dartmoor, Devon sites over the weekend. One was caught by a carnivorous Sundew but plenty survived to start the next generation of these rare and beautiful butterflies.
Found Dodder (Cuscuta sp.) for the first time today up on the heath wrapped around heather. Crazy looking. It really stood out. What an interesting plant. Parasitic.

I’ve been foraging for what, ten years or so… and this is the first time I have ever found Calocybe gambosa - St. George’s Mushroom. I’ve looked for them for years. I was very pleased and will remember where I found them for next year. Tasty! #FungiFriends
