I love Berkeley, people will build their entire politics around the idea that mitigating climate change requires radically restructuring the world economy, but they draw the line at a 12 story building a few blocks away or replacing some parking spaces with bike lanes.

I’ve been to many minor league games and seen and heard of dozens of promotions. I’ve never seen a team do what the @oaklandballers.bsky.social have done this year with music acts bringing all kinds of people to the park including: -Hip hop -Punk -Metal -Hippie rock -Tejano Great work.
It was a wonderful summer of baseball with the Ballers, but the team on the field never quite gelled like we wanted it to. I deeply appreciate this honesty and transparency from the organization. I trust them with the team, The Town, and my baseball-loving heart.

The thing to remember about the WNBA is that they are largely owned by the same guys who own the NBA.
