The HWA removed the author of the juvenile AI-boosting screed from her position on the board of trustees for posting the juvenile AI-boosting screed that they allowed her to post on their official newsletter. Righto. Baby steps, I guess.

Former video store clerk, future corpse. Social media exhausts me, so I'm pretty much just a lurker these days. https://sellsgraves.drr.ac
Someone has decided that I'm done working on commissions for the day.
FINALLY finished a story I've been chipping away at for six months. Probably the most "me" thing I've ever written: A post-Depression Era crime-comedy with vaguely supernatural overtones, loosely inspired by that Kenny Rogers impersonator I met who was hit in the head by falling junk from a UFO.
I'm excited for this antho and you should be, too, and also this is a picture of my front porch that I took with my friends, and yes it is always this spooky at my house.

I've watched a lot of shitty TV starring people who should know better, but CAPE FEAR might be the worst of em I've ever endured.
Honestly can't wait for the bubbles to burst. All the streamers and studios, AI pushers, gambling apps, etc. that keep the economy afloat, imploding and leaving a sucking hole behind. I grew up dirt poor. I still am. I've been homeless. I've never ever had a dime in savings. I'm equipped to survive.
I see everyone on Bluesky is back to pretending that seeing a movie six times counts as "a lot." Amateurs.
OK, that was fun. Sixteen amazing authors are joining Lauren Bolger, Poppy Z. Brite, and Mae Murray in SIDE HUSTLE: HORROR STORIES FOR LATE CAPITALISM. Coming in March 2027.
Been working on this short story for six months now (I work sloooow) and now that I'm finally down to the last few paragraphs I've got no idea how to wrap it up. My brain just deflated like a fart-filled balloon.
The fact that Orson Welles interviewed HG Wells still inflames my mind. Such a strange overlap of cultural timelines.
Just saw a couple having a screaming fight outside of Screenland. I assume it was about the Taxi Driver screening.
Every day American life feels a little more barbaric: the government sentencing people to prison for owning zines or attending DSA meetings, people doing without medicine and food and living in abhorrent conditions, scam emails everywhere ... I could go on all day. We deserve so much better.
It's called ethical romantasy, T. It's when the fantasical romance is a sedative.
He's credited by Japan's cultural historians as having personally saved enormous amounts of folklore from being completely lost, too. Hundreds of yokai legends are only known now because he collected them from remote communities that are themseles often gone.
Art by legendary mangaka Shigeru Mizuki
Just saw a post advocating for "Ethical Romantasy"... What are we doing here, folks?
Welp, I'm going in. It was that incredible Tony Millionaire cover art that finally got me.
I have a title and concept for the third Scythian Wolf historical horror anthology. Going ancient this time. I’m pretty certain we’ll do an open call in 2027. Meanwhile, you can pick up the first two volumes in the series. Links below.
