BREAKING: Sen. Dick Durbin accuses Todd Blanche of lying under oath. He says Blanche told him in his office — with witnesses — that the slush fund was a mistake. In his confirmation hearing, Blanche denied that remark.

Missouri voters reject Amendment 4. The Republican-backed measure, designed to make it far harder for citizen initiatives (like abortion rights, marijuana, etc.) to pass by requiring majorities in all 8 congressional districts, has failed. Simple statewide majority rule stays.

On Tuesday, a federal appeals court said Trump was wrong to terminate climate funding. His EPA will ask SCOTUS to step in, but it's a definite setback for the Republican effort to dismantle environmental protection laws in Biden's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. www.seattletimes.com/nation-world...

Divided federal appeals court says Trump administration was wrong to terminate climate funds

The split ruling is a loss for the Trump administration in one of its earliest efforts to dismantle President Joe Biden’s campaign to reduce greenhouse gases.

Not sure if everyone appreciates the difference. Rooftop solar hardwires into your main panel via a dedicated breaker, so it requires a permit, an installer, an electrician, and a utility agreement. Balcony solar just plugs into a wall outlet, sharing an existing circuit with no permits or rewiring.

A new deal on balcony solar just dropped in the US

Plug-in panels can lower your bills. To boost the American market for the tech, nonprofit Bright Saver is selling kits with no markup, starting at around…

We’ve been saying this for a while now many of the people being targeted are just fishermen. Evidence now supports that the United States has killed individuals who were not involved in drug trafficking during its “counternarcotics interdiction operations” in the Caribbean and Pacific.

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.

"No mistakes by blue America or the scientific community begin to compare with the brutal indifference to the well-being of Americans—and the betrayal of their own cruelly deceived supporters—that disgraced MAGA and the broader right wing in the pandemic years" www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Anthony Fauci Is Not the Villain in This Story

The doctor was thrust into his pandemic-leadership role because of Trump’s deadly dereliction of duty.

Reminder that the same politicians cutting taxes for billionaires also believe that a family making $55,000/year should receive no government assistance — from child care to SNAP. It is unconscionable.

I work for IL-14 first. Not tech CEOs. Not Wall Street. Not the men whose names are sealed in federal files. When I am re-elected, we will make sure people have the health care they need, rebuild the Department of Education, and protect Social Security.

Dead or alive, Mitch McConnell is on extended medical leave — on your dime. This is the same Mitch McConnell who voted against: paid family and medical leave for everyone else.

The entirety of the Boundary Waters is being evacuated due to wildfires, led by eight fearless Wilderness Rangers paddling around to campsites.   1,000,000 acres. 2,000 campsites. 4 teams of rangers. 2 rangers per canoe.

So, the same “vandals” who were able to cut a “350 foot long”, apparently invisible to the naked eye, slash in the reflecting pool, somehow also managed to turn ALL of the “50 year” American flag blue paint… grey? Wow.

📬 CONFIRMED: In a win for voters, USPS is following a pair of court orders blocking it from implementing Trump’s anti-mail voting executive order. That order directed the Postal Service to only deliver mail ballots if states handed over a list of preapproved voters.

USPS says it’s not implementing Trump’s anti-mail voting order, for now

“The Postal Service is abiding by these injunctions, which are also currently under appeal."
