The bar for the men dancers in Hindi cinema was so, so low for so long. Even those who had great energy in songs - the Kapoors, Mithun, Jeetendra, sometimes Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand - were out-danced by the women opposite them. Backwards and in high heels, indeed.

I'm completely unqualified to be any of them: homemaker (one wore white gloves, the other had 6 kids), machinist, or entomology professor developing pesticides (I hope he'd be terribly sorry about all the run-off 😬).
