Every time we come to the Netherlands we ask someone how you say Miffy's original Dutch name and every time we forget minutes later. That's happened twice in the last hour. Anyway, this is the ugliest Miffy I have ever did saw.

A photo of a large statue of Miffy. She is covered in sparkly white and an ugly dress.

Fifteen year old has told me the tattoo really suits me and that I should wear sleeveless tops because I've got really good arms. He's clearly after something but I've not worked out what yet

Last proper day of the holiday, so we're back to Amsterdam for the afternoon and evening for some more Pride, hence gold rhinestone star t-shirt, Miffy necklace and Dorothy Converse

Guidance is guidance, it is not legally binding requirements and it is up to individuals and businesses and services to decide how they interpret it and they can use that as a reason to vocally and visibly fight back against transphobia.

Went to Phantasialand today, which we went to with the eldest fifteen years ago when he was four. It didn't live up to the memory. It looks good, the rides are good and the food was excellent but the layout is dreadful and it's clearly a park that's grown too fast and too big for the space it's in.

Slightly unexpectedly i am being trialled for ADHD meds (i was expecting them to say no based purely on my age), starting with methylphenidate which is what the youngest is on, so I'm fine with that. Im still not sure I *need* need them, but it's stupid not to trial them at least.

I love that for most animals the size of a hedgehog the survival instinct it to be quiet and discreet, but hedgehogs make as much noise as they like because go on, have a go if you think you're hard enough.

Had a very satisfying game of Qwirkle then we had an even more satisfying game of Qwirkle (i won the first won hugely, hudband won the second one even more hugely, including a double Qwirkle)

We have something of a history of making last minute changes of plans to our holidays and this year that means we're going to leave Centre Parcs a day early on Wednesday and go and stay in Amsterdam so we get Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday morning there before getting the ferry.

My search for the best Liquorice Allsorts continues (current leaders are Bassett followed closely by Aldi) and goes intetnational with Albert Heijn (not own brand i don't think, but bought there). The liquorice is, as you'd expect, much harder and barely sweet at all.

A bag of Dutch liquorice allsorts, actually called Englese Drop. They are, however, the standard mix of sweets you'd expect.

Some photos of World Pride in Amsterdam. Not many of the canal parade because we got there too late to really get a view of any of it, but it's clearly a Pride that covers the whole city and the parade is just a small part of it.

Went to Brasserie Bink in Amsterdam for a drink and snack and had an obscenely good (and very large) apple pie with cream and ice-cream, which I didn't take a photo of because I'm not a weirdo influencer but I *did* take a photo of the brasserie because it's lovely.

Amsterdam is a city that is mostly full of cheese shops, places to eat and, for some reason, rubber duck shops. Seriously, so many rubber duck shops. They must be a front for something else, because there can't be *that* big a rubber duck market, can there?

What Roisin Murphy, Rowling & Linehan fail to understand about the LGBT+ community is that it partly exists to protect folks who are not heteronormative against bigots just like them. And if you come for one of us, you come for us all. The more they attack, the stronger we grow.

Off to Amsterdam today, where it's World Pride hence rhinestone Welsh dragon t-shirt, Miffy necklace, a little eyeliner and glitter and ruby slippers (Converse). Who knows, maybe we'll bump into Madonna

A selfie of me wearing a white t-shirt with green sleeves and a large red rhinestone Welsh dragon on it. I am also wearing a small silver and enamel Miffy necklace

Slightly annoying that Bev Craig came so close to winning the Mayoral Election in the first round given some of the polling, but glad it was still a pretty decisive win either way. She was never going to get the numbers Burnham did, but I think she'll be a pretty excellent Mayor.
