Thanks to everyone who has voted in this so far - very interesting battle at the top right now that could go any number of ways. TMBG or XTC? The Colourfield or Colourbox? Chas N Dave or Ric N Jen? Neil Innes or Napalm Death? Only you can decide! noiseboxradio.com/anthems/

Granted I'm not smart enough to be a SpaceX investor but if I was, I think I would have questions about why you need humanoid robots working in factories on the moon, presumably making things that would need to get shipped back to earth
And - my God - what will it take for the Conservative Party to rediscover an ability to read the room, let alone a moral compass?
First saw #IClaudius on UK Gold about 30 years ago, then dvd & now rewatching on the iPlayer again. Three Saturday observations: 1) Brian Blessed's best performance - from shouty to subtle, jovial to threatening 2) Sian Philips gives one of the best TV performance, ever 3) so many Dr Who actors
When he dies, don't let anyone hit you with some tired 'respect the dead' bullshit. We're gonna fireworks-over-Coruscant, Ewoks-playing-stormtrooper-helmets this shit until the wheels fall off
You know you're doing Social Media right when you are surrounded by lovely people that get you. Here for the good times and the bad times. Picking up one another when we stumble and need help. You all rock!
Think of Sir Keir black-clad in front of a billowing sixty foot union flag, talking about his government’s awesome plan to win over Tories and the far right with historically remarkable National Front migration crackdowns. What, is this worse than that? Or is it the same shit, but even dumber.
It’s wild how Kemi is just this funhouse mirror of ten years of horrible UK politics and media, showing the rest of them their reflections with deeply unsettling and embarrassing distortion. What she’s doing is IMO little different to what they’ve done, it’s just more ham-fisted, crass and idiotic.
I'll be at @sequential-scot.bsky.social this Saturday, selling comics! Here's what I'll be selling, along with a price list so you know what's what. If you like this sort of thing, this is the sort of thing you'll like! Freaktown Comics - The Best "F" In Comics!
#EventsDearBoy 3. MUTANT MASSACRE (1986, Marvel) Apparently one of Jonathan Hickman's ideas when he revamped the X-Men was 'give them some wins'. Wherever could the idea that the X-Men are constantly losing have come from, I wonder? Perhaps this first mutant event will shed some light!
#EventsDearBoy 4. AGE OF APOCALYPSE (1995, Marvel) Stuck in the diminishing returns of imitating Chris Claremont's labyrinthine subplotting without his flair, the 90s X-Office does the one thing he never tried: a story with a beginning, a middle and an end.
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, I'm begging of you, get your f***ing ears tested

Spidey referring to Fin Fang Foom doing a "number three" reads VERY differently if you listen to the Northern Boys...
No, this exactly the kind of “free speech” they have always believed in: special Freedom Plus for themselves, and PC Plod banging on your door to finger wag you for impertinence, while they phone your boss and try to get you fired.
What’s amazing about the Telegraph crew is how thin their pretence of believing in ‘free speech’ really is.
wild way to frame one of the most aggressively anti-trans bathroom bans in the developed world
Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx
It's fascinating, because a big part of their argument is that "AI is in everything, so even when you don't think you're using it, you're using it". They honestly think they're some sort of essential ingredient to the food chain, not realising they're just the equivalent of adding extra arsenic.
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak
Today is the day that *any* man who wants to go in the women's toilets just has to claim to be a trans man and everybody's got JK Rowling to thank.
#JeremyVine When trans men start entering women's toilets, this whole thing blows up This culture war crap is a nonsense
meanwhile, the anti-trans lobby has gone straight from "we won't need toilet police" to "the toilet police will need much more funding" without missing a beat bsky.app/profile/hlee...
Absolute state of Falkner and Reindorf in the Times today
The EHRC guidance does not apply to workplaces, and trans people are not criminalised for using any toilet in the UK. But the whole point of this - as with Section 28 back in the 1980s - is to intimidate people. Don't give into that fear.
Just a reminder that: - this isn't for workplaces and if your work is trying to implement it scare them over discrimination claims - the onus is on the service provider, not the service user to comply - the code *itself* says enforcement of toilet facilities is unworkable and low priority
Look I know I am not saying anything new here but I am *raging* that a bunch of self-proclaimed 'feminists' are in fact doing the work of patriarchy by trying to force us all back to a place where women must conform to a narrow set of stereotyped standards. FUCK OFF. I LIVED THROUGH THE '90S.
Arguing with shitheads on social media doesn’t accomplish anything. Nothing at all! You are harming your own mental health by constantly fighting with assholes whose ideas you hate! I’ve done it. I’ve been there. Learn from my mistakes!
There’s a six-panel, dialogue-less sequence in the next HALLOWEEN MAN I’m working on and I like this little face.
I love when I get sent art and I'm just like, man, comic books fucking rule.
