NGC 6979 Pickering's Triangle (SHO). Astrophoto by Beatrice Heinze (Processing) & Telescope Live (Data).

This Nebula, a supernova remnant, is located in the constellation of Cygnus (The Swan).

I processed the nebula in SHO, the Hubble palette. In the end, I experimented a bit with the colors, and that resulted in this electric look.

The following software was used:
Astro Pixel Processor (stacking); PixInsight (processing), and I did the final touches in Affinity V3.

Telescope: Officina Stellare ProRC 700 (70cm/27.5 inches) F8 - RC design reflector telescope

Location: Oria, Spain => Bortle Class 1

Total exposure time: 7 hours.

It is located in the Centaurus constellation (Southern Hemisphere) about 2,050 light-years away from Earth.

I did the stacking and processing in PixInsight.

It was the first time, I processed this nebula.

I think it's a stunning nebula. What's your opinion?

Telescope: ASA 500N, a 50-cm F3.8 corrected Newtonian telescope

Location: El Sauce Observatory, Rio Hurtado valley, Chile (Southern Hemisphere) => Bortle Class 1

Total exposure time: 4 hours

Astrophotography of LDN1082, a dark nebula made up of dust. Thousands of stars of various colors play hide and seek with the dust that thins off as it gets away from LDN1082. 12h of integration time over three nights using amateur equipment was necessary to bring the fainter wisps using : a Skywatcher Quattro 200P Newtonian, a Player One Poseidon-M camera, Antlia V-Pro LRGB filters.

The Coma Cluster (Abell 1656) consists of over 1,000 #galaxies and is about 300 million light-years away. I captured it over the course of 8 nights from April to June (about 9.5 h exposure), but processing turned out to be challenging. How many galaxies can you spot @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social? 🔭

It's the Milky Way season, and right now there's a great #astrophotography target, a Wolf-Rayet Star in Cygnus (WR134) blowing away its outer shell.This a composition of narrow band and RGB images shot over several nights.The OIII signal is quite amazing! Where are we @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?

Astrophotography of SH-114, the Flying Dragon Nebula shot using a monochrome cooled astrophotography camera and a Newtonian telescope with a diameter if 200mm. The total integration time is 9h. The image shows a large HII region that ressembles a dragon spreading its wings, flying though countless stars from the Milky Way plane.

The beautiful spiral galaxy NGC 2403 in the constellation Camelopardalis was my ‘spring project’. The #galaxy contains many HII regions, which is why I combined data taken with the Optolong L-Pro and the IDAS NB12 filter (just under 5 hours each). #astrophotography 🔭 @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

The Hickson Compat Galaxy group n° 68 (HCG68) shot over 5 nights using a 200mm Newtonian scope with a focal ratio of f/3.8 and a Player One Poseidon-M monochrome camera. The field shows HCG68 as well as numerous fainter, more distant galaxies and a few prominent neighbors.

A wide-field astrophotograph of Messier 27, the Dumbbell Nebula, surrounded by a dense field of stars against a nearly black sky. The nebula is positioned near the center of the frame and appears as a softly glowing, irregular oval with two broad opposing lobes. Its brightest inner region is pale blue, cyan, and milky white, with translucent layers of gas overlapping around the faint central star. Curved reddish-pink arcs form parts of the outer shell, especially along the upper-left and lower-right edges, creating a rounded, expanding structure around the cooler blue interior. Fainter blue-green gas extends beyond the bright core as a diffuse halo. Hundreds of stars of different brightness fill the background, from tiny sharp points to several larger white stars with subtle four-point flares. Many stars show slight red and cyan fringes, adding small touches of color throughout the otherwise dark field. Captured with a Newton 130/900 telescope and a Sony A7S camera.

The Orion Nebula in some kind of narrowband mix. I found new halpha data on the drive that I apparently forgot to process earlier this year, and combined it with older color data. 130/910mm apo & ASI 2600mm for the halpha/luminance data. #astrophotography
