A dark, atmospheric digital composite depicting the wooden hold of a pirate ship. The base image reinterprets a modern church sanctuary by flipping it 180 degrees, transforming its vaulted concrete arches and wooden pews into the ribbed hull and curved decking of a vessel. The edit uses extensive Double Exposure, Perspective, and Brush work in Snapseed to composite nautical assets—including a cannon on the lower left deck, a rusted anchor on the right, hanging rigging ropes across the ceiling, and a small skull set within a high window grate. The final piece uses dark vignette shadows, warm wood color grading, and a grimy frame border to conceal its architectural origins.

#UnreliableNarrator #PostProcess #ECK Every image tells a story and your editing choices shape the story your image conveys. This is about using your edits to tell a story other than the one you see in the raw frame. Files tinyurl.com/37uuh45v

Every image tells a story. In documentary photography, the goal is documenting. In fine art photography, the goal is moving people. Your post-processing choices help you shape the story you want to tell.

This challenge is about using your edits to tell a story other than the one you see in the frame.

The image is a church, daylight hours, Senegal, three people in it. Or is it? That's yours to decide. Maybe it's not a church. Maybe it's not daylight. Maybe it's mid-sermon. Maybe it's abandoned.

Your process, your story. Visual truth optional.
