People that make a company, any company the majority of their personality…don’t. No wrestling company, movie studio, publisher, international conglomerate et al are “moral” or “good”. Nor are they paying attention to “internet discourse” and won’t give you a pat on the back for posting 100x a day.

I’m all for quantity of prospects as a return this particular season. With 2027 more likely than not being locked out. Why not focus on overstocking the minors system? All these guys “under control” will be another year older. Give the next GM/POBO a full toybox for the 2028 season. #LFGM #MetsSky

it’s not moral, but I’ve made peace with the fact that the people that own and run the pro sports teams that I support probably suck in ways that I can’t fathom. I personally despise the “everything is gambling as an app!” Being omnipresent. I can’t be surprised when they intersect with sports.

I can’t handle seeing these “updates” on the Mets trading Lindor as part of the firesale… The season is lost and losing the guy that WANTS to be a Met, when I have nothing else to distract me but Jets minicamp, will be my supervillain origin story… #MetsSky

90% of the time being a Mets fan becomes looking forward to the team sending away half the roster so that instead of focusing on the failed season after July, we can start convincing ourselves a 16 year old relief pitcher will be the piece that gets us back to the World Series…next year. #MetsSky

Chelsea Janes says the Mets have told teams they're ready to sell. Everyone but Scott, McLean, Soto, Benge, and Ewing are available. sny.tv/articles/met...

But as the second half begins Thursday night, it seems the time has come: A rival executive said the Mets informed their team that the sale is on, and that everyone but young stars Carson Benge, AJ Ewing, Christian Scott, Nolan McLean and the obvious, Juan Soto, is available. That doesn’t mean everyone will go. But it means the Mets will listen on just about everyone, which is in keeping with what people familiar with their thinking have signaled for weeks.

This might be the most annoying Mets team I can remember in my almost 50 years of watching. That said, the only thing that could actually piss me off would be if Stearns trades Lindor. Keep him, Soto and the babies…everyone else can go.

If you think the guest list for a wedding is now a moral statement on the bride and groom…you’ve never planned a wedding. There were easily 20 people I didn’t know at my own wedding of like 100 guests…

There was only so much Mendy could achieve with this roster/injuries…that said, the lack of focus, bullpen mismanagement and no urgency displayed, those are on him. I also think Stearns is cooked. Unless he gets back some serious talent during the sell-off to sell hope for the future to us. #LFGM

I’ve been rewatching the DCAU JL & this gag had me cackling. Justice Lords Superman has lobotomized villains in Arkham. But only Scarface has the lobotomy mark, not Wesker. Which means that alternate universe Supes believed that the doll was the actual villain… And yes, I’m enjoying an edible, why?

Screenshot from the Justice League cartoon where Batman villain and ventriloquist dummy “Scarface” has lobotomy scars but “The Ventriloquist” does not.

I’m not saying anything would have turned out different. BUT a healthy Lindor vibing with the Baby Mets would bring a different attitude to this team. Soto has said repeatedly that he’s a leader by example, not a rah-rah guy. So you need a guy to bring energy and smiles…Lindor is that Met. #MetsSky

Here’s the thing. I don’t really care if Mando & Grogu is “good” or “bad” as a movie. It’s a TV show, this was supposed to be a season of TV. But Disney has to constantly be reactionary, so when Book of Boba “underperformed” that was the end of Mando as TV…so now it’s a movie. I’ll still watch it.

Being a Mets fan this season obviously sucks, but as we hurtle towards dark humor territory with the injuries…I know that come spring I’ll have written off this whole season to players getting hurt, and expect success next year. No object permanence is at the heart of Mets fandom. #MetsSky
