Exciting news: The two baby robin nestlings in a tree just outside our back door have fledged. One flew and hopped hilariously, learning how it all worked. They seem to have joined up with their parents for flying lessons in the brush across the road. Feeling like a proud grandparent today.

I love that one of my monitors got fried by a power surge (despite being plugged into a hefty backup battery unit) and now does this when it’s supposed to go into low power sleep mode. Tried all sorts of fixes without success. Oh well. It’s kind of mesmerizing/hypnotic, tho. Om mani padme hum, baby!
