The album I’m listening to is the one on the left. My fav PG album. The other one is my least fav PG one. The difference? Language. While I appreciate Peter Gabriel speaking German, when it comes to singing… Does anyone here know the Deutsches album? And do you find it mellifluous or…? Curious.

Kicking off Monday with one of the most original album beginnings on Powerlight. I’ve always loved the synth chords at the start of Fall in Love With Me, and hated the sped-up horn sample… But Paulinho da Costa’s percussion and Roland Bautista’s guitar solo in the last 1/3 make it a banger for me.

This episode titled Raining Fêtes Urge is based on the track Villages, Hamlets And Fêtes (version) by one of my all time favorite artists Matthew Davies better known as Vic Mars. It’s from the album From Different Landscapes, which came out yesterday Friday the 1st of May 2026. All the other tracks happened to just fit the vibe.
