Kopaka, Toa of ice — Finished my drawing and wanted to take a moment to say that Kopaka would ABSOLUTELY despise the racists bigots working for ICE and the tyrannical regime seen in the US Love your neighbours, regardless of colour or nationality 💙🤍 #Bionicles #BioniclesArt #Art
First time ever drawing a Bionicle for a client! Was definitely a challenge since I’ve never drawn one before and mechanical stuff isn’t exactly my strong suit 😞 BUT the client loved it still so I’m happy about it! #artcommission #commissionsopen #art #bionicle #scifi #mecha #artist #OCart #toa

And somehow, the debate on whether or not hands are canon still lasts in the fandom to this day. When in reality, there really is no "hard canon" that encompasses all of Bionicle. One medium portrays things one way, another does so in a different way, and not all details line up.
I remember Greg F talking about this on the Lego forums to an extent regarding Gali's hooks. Said something like, in the books it's easier to explain what she's doing as if she has hands so she has hands, in the comics it's easier for her to manipulate things with her hooks so she has hook hands.
