Episode 430: Truly Sadly Deeply - Bird's Eye View
The Orioles signaled that their rebuild was not successful enough to keep the face of that rebuild. Collect your pitchforks at the door.

Will talk more on the podcast tonight, but change needs to happen. And this is me doing my part.
We are going to get together tonight to podcast for the first time since all star break. We’ll laugh. We’ll cry. We’ll vent. If you want to do the same, give it a listen or send us a quick clip to us with your feelings at: contact@birdseyeviewbaltimore.com It’s gonna be rough.
I wonder if this was part of the plan that they used to woo Pete Alonso, this offseason...
If you want to jump ship, I wouldn’t blame you.
There is no reason to ever buy a jersey with a name and number on the back. I bought my kid, a catcher, an Adley Rutschman jersey. There is no such thing as a safe jersey purchase. Well... maybe in other markets.
I think it's about time for the Orioles to play a game in front of zero fans, again.
As a matter of principle, I don't see how you can trust an exec to rebuild from his own rebuild.
This team won 101 fucking games 3 years ago and this fucking pervert traded for JACK FLAHERTY and called it a day because he couldn’t compromise the future The future that saw him trade away the one guy this entire fucking thing was built around!!!!!!
I could not be less interested in whatever the return package for Taylor Ward was. He was a one-year rental, and we flipped him at the deadline. Whatever they got for him is fine. It's fine.
This is the liftoff we were promised, no?
Again, I want to make a point that seems really difficult to believe: Sports are a source of joy in other cities.
Look on the bright side: instead of a sure-fire good player in Adley Rutschman, we can get a package that might someday include a Dean Kremer-like talent!
Cannot WAIT for the tone deaf timing on the season ticket renewal email that will come out directly after, if they deal Adley.
Admittedly, tonight's Bird's Eye View is a little weird.
At least the home crowd loves it.
I thought about going to tonight's game, but some recent poor experiences with the ticket office turned me off. Sounds like they saved me from a frustrating performance in an environment that would have felt like an away game.
Bases loaded with Taveras up? The Phillies have us right where they want us.
Meanwhile, I'm discovering that Robin Roberts stadium has a smaller seating capacity than the stadium in Aberdeen. Oh, what could have been...
Just got home, and found thr WPBL opener is in a rain delay? Oh nooooooooes.
So the Orioles made a trade, dealing from an area of strength and excess, their... *checks notes* ...starting pitching?
