Hey, friends in NYC! Please do sign up and save the day for the 11/15 Hands Off NYC Day of Community Action to push back against ICE in our city! (I'm gonna be helping organize something - it's gonna be fun!)

November 15 Community Day of Action · Indivisible Brooklyn

We marched, now we organize! On November 15th (date updated!), organizations across NYC are planning concrete actions you can take to continue to say NO KINGS and HANDS OFF NYC! Together we will share...

"For Latine communities, the compounded impact of anti-immigration laws, surveillance, and the threat of deportation, detention, or forced family separation often makes traveling for abortion care impossible." Fund Texas Choice's latest for @truthout.org. Read now: nnaf.org/Q

The Anti-Migrant Crackdown Is Also a Reproductive Justice Crisis

Working on abortion access in Texas, we see every day how immigration justice and reproductive justice are inseparable.

Nine years ago, @bradlander.bsky.social former GOBK and demonstrated the power of community organizing. He showed us the power of standing together in advocacy and I will be forever grateful for his inspiration- and that he’s only continued to inspire and serve.

"When Trump sends troops here, how will we stand up to them insistently and make clear New York doesn’t need them, New York doesn’t want them, New York is resisting them?" I spoke to @bradlander.bsky.social about ICE, Trump, Zohran, and the future of New York. www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/brad-lande...

1 in 5 abortion patients have to travel outside of their state to receive safe, essential health care. Imagine driving 8 hours to see your dentist or boarding a flight to see your primary care provider. It’s absurd.

Really moving speech from Marcela Mitaynes at the New York Against ICE rally. "No tengan miedo por que no estan solos. Aquí estamos con ustedes." "Don't be afraid because you are not alone. We are here with you."

"The fear and uncertainty with which we're forced to live is what Trump wants. He wants us to be afraid. To hide. But now more than ever, we must step up. And do not be afraid because you are not alone. We are here with you." - Marcela Mitaynes

Governor Hochul still needs to sign critical legislation protecting abortion rights and gender-affirming care in NY State! With attacks from our fascist federal government heating up every day, signing this legislation now is critical -- great info below for how to contact the Governor on this!

With attacks against abortion and gender-affirming care reaching new heights, it's imperative that New York State be a beacon for anyone seeking care. Tell Governor Hochul she can solidify NY's reputation as a champion for repro health by signing these three bills ⤵️ action.aclu.org/send-message...

@governor.ny.gov could join us in calling for a #SpecialSessionNow to protect NYers from the MAGA budget. Instead, she's cutting off access to healthcare for 450,000 NYers. NYS has the resources to meet NYers' needs -- we just need leaders who are willing to fight for us!

Welp, @governor.ny.gov is on board with Trump & Congressional Republicans' efforts to make NY sicker. @axios.com reported this morning that Hochul is scrapping expanded healthcare b/c of the Federal Budget Scam. www.axios.com/2025/09/10/n... Our response (spoiler, she should #TaxTheRich instead)👇

Earlier this morning, Axios reported that Gov. Hochul plans to axe New Yorkers’ healthcare as a result of July’s Federal Budget Scam. Below is a response from Erica Vladimer, Communications Coordinator for the Invest In Our New York Campaign:

“New York’s Congressional Republican delegation happily voted to make New Yorkers sicker by cutting billions from our healthcare, forcing state leaders to step in and deal with the aftermath. Unfortunately, Governor Hochul’s claim to stand up for New York’s families falls short as she chooses to axe their healthcare. Instead, Governor Hochul can raise the necessary public dollars to protect healthcare access by raising taxes on New York’s millionaires and billionaires. Anything less is just going along with Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans.”

Why is @governor.ny.gov caving to Trump and taking away our healthcare? If she really wants to protect New Yorkers, she'd #taxtherich so every New Yorker can see a doctor without going broke. It's really that simple...and popular!
