FWIW, Etsy acknowledges using AI in support. I asked who their DMCA designated agent is because that info isn't on their website. "Austen" hasn't answered, so I looked it up. It's no one. I suspect every big platform that hides behind safe harbor clauses does the same. Corporate accountability...🙄

Etsy may use an AI agent in some support interactions to quickly answer common questions using information from Etsy's Help Center to categorize your issue. If your issue can't be resolved by the AI agent, you may be routed to a human agent and be asked for verification details.TLDR, Etsy designates its legal department as DMCA Designated Agent. Surprise? They have no public facing human being handling copyright.

Etsy seems to be using AI to respond to copyright emails. "Austen" is now hallucinating a requirement for a "letter of authorization" or "power of attorney" to represent someone's intellectual property. In 20 years, I've never run into that...and my email is literally from the artist's domain. 1/4
