Optimist: The glass is half full Pessimist: The glass is half empty Me running Shadows of Brimstone: Now, we’re level 6 so these enemies are Brutal and have 1 Elite Ability. Their health is 22 with Defense 4 and are immune to Crits. But they’re worth 25xp plus 10xp per wound, so they’re juicy.

Really love that the billing and appointment platform my therapist uses has an AI system that hallucinates every two weeks that my insurance isn’t network. So I have to spend 30 min in chat with their support to fix it. Four times now in two months. Can’t wait for this shit to go away.

Sometimes I see something in nature and then spend the next several years waiting for the shot. Sometimes I never get it. Sometimes you see it and a week later you land it: I give you tonight's murder of crows in front of the sunset. 🪶

I really liked watching her and all of Team Japan play during the Olympics, but PWHL Detroit has a terf problem. Maybe that terf will go on the injured list due to ruptured ear drums from all the booing she receives on road trips.

If you were to ask me why I need 18 assembled Slashers for Shadows of Brimstone, the answer is, of course, CRABS. More realistically it’s because there’s 6 variants of Slasher in the game, and I want to paint up 3 of each. Already have 3 of the basic version painted. But also, CRABS.

18 plastic miniatures of the Shadows of Brimstone monster Slashers. 3 in front are painted. The other 15 are in unpainted red or grey plastic.

Watching “End of Evangelion” (on a big screen, no less) in my early 50’s after doing a couple years of therapy to unpack my self-hatred issues is a radically different experience than when I first watched it in my mid-20’s. I wouldn’t want to get in the goddamn Eva either though.

I recently participated in an online miniature painting contest in which I placed PARTICIPANT, meaning my streak is unbroken! Anyway, I am still tickled by this little lad I added to the original piece and how well he turned out. The main piece is a swamp raptor egg nest from Shadows of Brimstone.

A teeny tiny raptor stands in an egg nest. A swamp raptor egg neat from the game Shadows of Brimstone.
