You don’t have to be selfless all the time or burn yourself out but you should be kind and helpful and compassionate to the best of your ability. We need to care about each other more

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
Know that libraries count things. How many people have cards, how many times a book or DVD or CD is checked out, etc. And then we take those numbers to our internal staff and say "look, people want this" to justify purchases, and then to local govts to say "look, we need to stay open".

I understand there’s a lot going on in the world, and for people on individual levels, but I do still believe there is an art to checking in on friends and loved ones. I think community is something you have to work for and I love the people who check in on me and I on them. Balance in all things.

Seems like I have an impersonator on discord sending random friend requests. I'm an introvert and I always forget to send those things. If anyone sends you one, and their name is, like, "Glottal with a number," then they aren't me. You should point and laugh at them, and report the impersonator. ty!

On 3/20 & 4/7 I lost my boys. Crowe, fairly suddenly, to what I can only assume was very spread cancer (spleen, lungs, brain) & Scout to long-term congestive heart failure. They had been with me through so much & I miss them dearly. [ #ratterrier #dogs #botanimals #memorialart #petloss ]
