Seeing the expected “and yet they use Windows” responses to this frankly incredible move from House House and I sincerely hope games coverage can take this opportunity to teach audiences what an organised boycott actually is.

This Week in Videogames@thisweekinvideogames.com · yesterday

Big Walk will not be coming to Xbox "in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft," per developer House House. BDS previously designated Microsoft as a boycott target, and called on users to boycott Xbox products in April 2025.

House House @househouse.com · yesterday

An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

After reading the first volume of Magical Girl Dandelion, I had this very clear idea in mind I had to draw! They could make a club about this XD #KamenRiderMy-th #MagicalGirlDandelion #SHY

Traditional colored ballpoint pen drawing featuring Kamen Rider My-th, Magical Girl Dandelion and the superhero Shy. Dandelion stands in the center, shaking hands with both My-th and Shy, who are using their other hand to give a thumbs up. All three of them look quite jolly. A caption above them says "saving people that were allegedly impossible to recover unharmed". On the higher margin of the picture there is also a space themed washi tape, used as a cute border. End description.

Diseño de contraportada del fanzine de Pimienzines sobre magical girls donde aparecen Mimi de Mermaid Melody, Ichigo de Tokyo Mew Mew, Aisha de Winx Club, Cure Kyun Kyun de Pretty Cure, Sakura de Card captor Sakura y Sailor Venus de Sailor Moon.

I participated in @pimienzines.bsky.social's Magical Girl fanzine, it's been a really fun experience working with so many other artists in Spanish! I am already excited for future projects :3c You can find our work on pimienzines.itch.io/magicalgirls... #MagicalGirls #Fanzine #Pimienzines

Traditional ink and colored pencil drawing featuring two magical girls sitting down and drawing with their mascots (a donkey and a seahorse). The girl on the left, Rebecca, has tan skin, golden eyes, pink hair tied in two very long pigtails. Her outfit is mainly black and white with gold accents, and a long multicolored skirt. The girl on the right, Millim has pale skin, pink eyes and short green hair style in a fan-like bob. Her dress is mainly blue and purple with bronze accents, with a recurring ring and swirl motif. Above them, five different frames show how they would look styled in different show's magic fashions, from up to down: Winx Club, W.i.t.c.h., Angel's Friends, Pretty Cure, and one specifically for the mascots in a very cutesy Pretty Cure fairy like style. End description.

A page made to resemble a magazine article, with teal background and green text containers. There are multiple pictures of phones and a pc monitor edited to show doodles inside their screens. On the header is the artist's name "LovingLapisLazuli" and the social media handles for tumblr, bluesky and twitter. Text number one: "They have magic and cast spells, but being girls who love fantastical stories, imagining themselves in other places and with other powers is their favorite spell. Play and imagination truly are some of the most powerful magic!" Text number two: "They have magic and cast spells, but being girls who love fantastical stories, imagining themselves in other places and with other powers is their favorite spell. Play and imagination truly are some of the most powerful magic!". The two texts are originally written in Spanish on the picture. End description.
