Another day of scattered ICE sightings in Chicagoland as feds continue surveilling neighborhoods + courthouses. The day started with an early morning detention in Carol Stream. This afternoon, video from Waukegan of agents surrounding a lone child in a car is circulating (guardian presumed taken).

BREAKING: VA Gov Abigail Spanberger just vetoed a bill that would ban ICE from making warrantless arrests inside of courthouses. VA Dems have the House, the Senate, and the Governorship. They have all the power and still under a Corporate Centrist Democrat, align with fascist ideology.

Spanberger (D-Langley) is vetoing collective bargaining rights for a broad swathe of VA public sector workers. It's an immense betrayal to a core part of her coalition, in a moment when they're under attack. She didn't even offer amendments but a "substitute" bill that would've delayed til 2030...

People have been saying this for weeks but it's no less true: federal immigration agents have continued to abduct people in the Chicago area since the end of Midway Blitz, just with less fanfare. And with spring here we're seeing a marked increase in ICE activity compared to the winter.

The Trump Administration has been using law enforcement to target elected leaders, particularly Black elected leaders, since they singled out Ras Baraka and LaMonica McIver when they tried to inspect a detention center.
