My Sky Ireland contract is due to end in just over a month, so I was all ready to cancel and move my broadband and TV to someone else. But then Sky sent me an email extending my new customer discounts for another 12 months. Is this common? I've never seen the like before.

It seems the MyGovID authentication service for online Irish government services is banjaxed.
I've seen this kind of thing on Ticketmaster, but never before on a shopping website. How many people are flooding onto the Boots website on a Friday evening?
Would have taken less time to boil up a few potatoes and mash them!
Just spent 40 minutes walking up and down every aisle in the supermarket because I was too ashamed to ask where the instant mashed potato was.

Feeling a bit of Forest Fest FOMO today. We went for the last two years, but aren't there this year. So I'm trying to recreate some of the feeling by playing one of the highlights from last year, Hermitage Green.
More than half of my mobile phone screen time each day was on puzzle games. Sometimes it was several hours a day. I'd even be playing them while watching TV at night. That's not good behaviour, so this morning I deleted all of them.
I'm supporting Spain but I don't have a Spanish jersey so me and five of my friends are going to walk up and down Grafton Street wearing identical schoolbags instead.
I'm here for the Bluesky hot takes, not the soccer-ball game #WorldCup
Spanish National Anthem...one of only 4 in the world with no official words! Yes I'm a nerd & bilingual with it #WorldCup #TheFootball
oh dear god, Robbie Williams looking like your uncle who still lives at home.
Saw a message saying "Invalid handle" in Bluesky. So it turns out I mistakenly deleted the DNS record that authenticates that I own the domain. D'oh!
Having enjoyed a full day of the world's best Rugby teams battering the hell out of each other, it's laughable when a socker ball player writhes on the floor because someone touched them with a glancing blow!
Every time an energy provider salesperson knocks on the door makes me 20% less likely to go with them. Looking at you Yuno and SSE 👀
Yes, obviously it is suspended, but is it operating or not? Useless TfL app.
So Burke owes a quarter of a million in fines. And the cost of keeping him in gaol for 700 days hasn't been cheap either. What's the answer for someone who doesn't see prison as a deterrent, and weaponises the legal system his own ends? jrnl.ie/7080369
Enoch Burke 'roughly' owes the state over a quarter of a million in fines, High Court hears
The High Court heard a calculation of fines owed by Burke for trespassing at Wilson’s Hospital School.

The sun is out over Croke Park as Leinster seek to defend their URC title!
Bloomsday? That's a celebration for people with my surname, right?
You might not agree with every call she makes, but she's so incredibly clear and consistent in how she manages a game that it gives both teams more than a fair chance to adapt. Genuinely give her the WC final in Australia, no one deserves it more
The thing about having a health tracker is that it's easy to become obsessed about tracking everything. And then obsessing about everything that's been tracked.
