It's the simple things in life. If I open the cupboard and there's a McVitie's Ginger Cake in there then I am going to cut off 4 slices, stick them in a bowl and cover them in custard and then stick it in the microwave for 45 seconds. It's like a lightly spiced, vanilla and ginger flavoured hug

That "men should be allowed, without judgement or consequence, to do an amount of harm to women and girls that I personally deem acceptable" seems to be a genuine opinion still held by too many people in the year two thousand and twenty six is incredibly grim

Thoughts on the dead singer. Yesterday, my middle aged straight hairy biker son went on one on social media about the dead singer and those eulogising him. He did not hold back. What was unusual was that he took to social media to vent knowing it would attract vile bile. I asked him why.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but "judicial review" is literally just the name you give a case when a person says the State has broken a law (any law, about anything) and they want a court to put a stop to it. A politician saying "I am against anyone taking a judicial review" is proto-fascist.

Biggest take away from July? If the Nations Championship gets binned (it was good but still leaning towards bin), the Nations Cup can stay because I have found my new favourite test competition outside of the Six Nations, that thing was fun and was an excellent outing for Hong Kong and Zimbabwe
