Our ISP (CenturyLink) got bought by AT&T. After almost 5 solid years of no outages our modem bricked and it is taking them over a week to get us a new one.

11 rounds of interviews since April, a long "personality assessment" test, a half day in-person at their office, and I was able to recite the entire history of the company, and *still* "went with another candidate" like good lord.

Depressing but stable salary? 11 rounds of interviews. Referral from friend? "Oh, my boss will love you. -> Uh, turns out we're not hiring."
