I just happened to look up to the sky. The deep blue with white puffy cliuds caught my eye. As the clouds moved in the breeze, the rainbow appeared between them. The clouds closed up and, a minute later, it was gone!

Good morning! I'm excited to share my first (and only) passion flower blossom. Something is eating the buds, so I hope more survive 💙 Have a peaceful Sunday 🕊️

A passion flower blossom tucked under the deck rail. It has ceamy white outer peatals, then a fringe (corona) that is tipped with blue, white in the middle, then dark brownish magenta near the center. The anthers are yellow and three prominent style/stigmas are that deep magenta color.
This is not a plant that usually grows in the northeast but I love the flowers so thought I would try it on my sunny deck this summer. Something is eating the petals and buds (maybe earwigs), but I hope more survive!

Roskva is part of the Guardians of the Seeds exhibit at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine, which is the largest botanical garden in New England.
The 5 trolls here were created by Danish artist
Thomas Dambo and are made from recycled wood and locally salvaged material.
The message of the trolls is teaching the importance of our connection to trees, the importance of planting seeds and trees and preservation of natural places.

The Roseate Spoonbill is a large, pink wading bird with a distinctive, flat, spoon-shaped bill, native to the Americas, and is the only spoonbill species in North America. Its vibrant pink color comes from carotenoids in its diet of small aquatic animals, and it feeds by sweeping its bill side-to-side in shallow water to catch prey like fish, shrimp, and insects. Found in coastal marshes and estuaries, it's often mistaken for a flamingo but is smaller and has a unique feeding method.

A lonely winter evening settles over Corkagh Park beneath a sky swallowed by dense fog.

A broad, pale moon hangs high overhead, glowing like a soft lantern through the mist.

Its light is heavily diffused, creating a hazy halo that gently illuminates the scene without ever breaking the darkness.

A straight pathway disappears into the distance, bordered on both sides by rows of leafless trees.

Their bare branches stretch upwards and outwards like dark, skeletal fingers, their intricate shapes fading into the fog.

The nearest trees stand in sharp silhouette, while those farther away gradually dissolve into ghostly outlines, giving the park an almost dreamlike depth.
