Happy birthday to me — my area is experiencing a rare weather phenomenon that only comes every 15 years where we get a week straight of heavy rain and catastrophic flooding. I can’t go anywhere for my birthday and I lost power. When I said I liked driving in the rain, this isn’t what I meant 😭

I finally got my laptop back… and it’s gone. The motherboard is gone. And a new one is about 70% the value of my laptop, so I’m out a really good laptop 🙃

As personal of a post/link this is, my family is in such a bind this is a last resort. We're struggling majorly right now, to put it simply. We're in hospitals nearly twice a month. Still without my laptop. It really sucks not having it, especially considering all my stuff for unemployment is on it, and I have until the 2nd of next month to pay my bills. Really wish I had the hindsight to not do some of the things that put my laptop in the shop 😂

Note for anyone who tries to save money by doing your own computer repairs… make sure you’re confident you can do it and don’t forget a single step 😂 Been without my laptop for almost a week now, as it’s at a shop being put back together after scaring myself out of it. Feels so weird without it!
