Legal stuff. Wind farms. Biotech. Sometimes agriculture.

Americans are getting as aerated on good old BeNiceBlueSky as they were on the old place! Have a look at the vituperation on this thread - no pulling first punches, straight in with the personal invective! It seems that "capitalism * socialism + rockets" really hits a nerve for them.

The Challenger disaster was a horrible tragedy, but I remember it was so shocking because catastrophe under NASA was so rare. This never-ending procession of privatised space rockets exploding every other week is making it mundane. Privatisation is shit.

Last night I went to Tramlines and saw a large crowd sing along with that bloody Killers song mixed by FatBoy Slim with Born Slippy. All my gains from not watching the World Cup. Lost in an instant.

Bus fare cap: ok, drop in the ocean Handing control of buses to mayors: this is the important one. It doesn't matter how cheap your bus is if it doesn't exist or is so unreliable no one uses it anyway. We need a massive expansion of reliable buses.

Last year I went to a music festival in Derbyshire and was surprised to see some people I thought in fancy dress - but actually turned out to be in full "Connolly is a Martyr to free speech" garb. Unhinged. Can only assume Mel Gibson will play her in the film.

Allison seems determined to elevate Lucy Colloney into a martyr. She is platformed at a Reform conference and described as a political prisoner. I have often suggested politics must be removed from the justice system. All sides are guilty of this. But if you allow people to tweet inflammatory/5

"So, John I see you left Defence because you thought it badly funded. How about taking charge of the purse strings then!?" "Excellent! Thanks, Andy!" "Oh, one more thing, I've put Wes in your old chair, so you can sort it with him." "!!!?!?"

A list of some names and a list of government posts. In many respects it seems Andy has mismatched the first column with the second.

It's the time of year where I renew home and car insurance and am swept away by the cost savings offered by my insurer, regarding my loyalty and clean claims record! (No, my bad, they want to gouge me for another 45%, despite all other providers undercutting the renewal by similar percentages.)

Haven't watched this match but from BlueSky comments it seems as if you are all getting exactly what you wanted - which was an opportunity to bitch and moan about Argentina a bit longer. The're the gift that keeps giving.

Why is this place suddenly full of overconfident young male American bellends, usually with a scientific background, but apparently postgraduate degrees in sealioning? And why do they hate British people so? (I suspect because their confidence balls works against their compatriots but not us)
