a friend introduced me to Campaign for North Africa this weekend and I got a dark vision of 50
HEGSETH: *points to general's ribbon bars* "What'd you get that one for? Fucking your mother?" GENERAL: *sternly* killing vietnamese children
It's the other way around, Cherry Coke was supposed to make you think of liberation through submission
Every time I see this poster, this is all I can think of
what y'all who aren't from Tarrant County don't understand is what this citizen is doing is gangsta checking him
Tarrant County voters aren't buying the GOP's claims that they're cutting polls to save money. “I’d love to know what you all think our tax dollars are for. They are to serve us and I can’t think of a better use of taxpayer money than to encourage and support the democratic process.”
Ten episode seasonlets of Star Trek. Half of what Battlestar was doing and less than that creatively.
"I think that for me, personally, sex isn't that interesting..." oh GOOOOD for YOOUUU
Look im not gonna be big schoenbrun defender here but I dont love seeing two dudes review a movie that, to me, is super bluntly about how women experience sexual alienation and dissasociation following sexual trauma, and have their main take on it be this
Prosecute American war criminals
Today marks one year of US airstrikes on small boats allegedly transporting drugs. Almost no evidence has been presented about the dozens of strikes have killed more than 200 people. Strikes restarted last month following a pause in July. www.ohchr.org/en/press-rel...
another win for physical media which nobody "reasonable" can deny looks and feels like buying the thing, not that I agree with the argument in the first place and it goes without saying you could never steal from corporations more than they've stolen from you
Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...
Love hearing people justify their compromises by insisting you (will) have to, too. "Be there or be square" from all the people you don't want to be with.
Gal Gadot defends starring in the ‘Bitcoin’ movie which features AI sets and lighting: “I did not want AI to have anything to do with my performance. We had to protect that […] The train has left the station. You’re going to work with it or be out of the game completely.”
starting to see what they mean about "Translated from Portuguese" posts
Rooting for Sebastian Stan because he's good folk (TV actor introduced to me on a teen drama and later played the gay one on a different show)

Do they even have those Female Body Inspector T-shirt stores in malls anymore? Is anyone covering this?
Connor Storrie for gay Texan James Bond and all the women fall for him and then he goes to spend a couple hours in a Berlin dark room. Just spitballing here.
I'm not even sad the T-Rex ate that baby because of white men's entitlement lately
when you graduate from tenderqueer the ranks go second ass, first ass, tàr, wife, eagle
[turning and whispering to you in a hostage situation] This reminds me of a movie you have to watch, remind me to tell you after.
Getting very close to making Brodyish claims for The Dink. Maybe on rewatch. Like a coward.
The Dink is the new Hot Rod and people are going to be calling it a (cult?) classic in 10 years. Sean Clements' voice is so strong, you got Ed Harris Ed Harrising, a bond built on country and TCM, open arms, and a heroism of just showing up. I was weeping to the music BEFORE JJ. That's truth.
Spider-Man: The New One: [W/o] They keep DMCAing the tweet I'm watching.
The shows were worse in ways that often dissolve, e.g. gay rep is less explicit but no less rich, tech standards were no less make-do, formulas showed but god I miss writers. I remember the sense that we could do better, and we did (Sopranos), but TV is further from that now than in 1993
It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
can't believe nobody cares about the Greg joke. you and I are different people.
Mad Men Greg's joke in the wild, in this case Jack the Modernist from 1985 and dressed as an old bathhouse pearl.

Religion should be safe legal and rare
Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...
Rowling is the ultimate proof that we cannot have billionaires. She technically made her fortune without fucking over the working class. A borderline miracle. And yet, she remains a monster that wants to make the world worse. We can either have billionaires or freedom, not both.
This is Rowling's pinned tweet, and yet, just this week, she is funding legal cases against Féile Belfast and Amnesty International for exercising their free speech and fair opinion. She is using her massive wealth to terrorise these orgs into compilance, because she doesn't believe in free speech.
