Wait, she referenced the wrong document and is trying to amend the Committee of the Whole language in the report background. Alto: This has already been adopted by Council and now we're revisiting a previously approved recommendation.

Introducing new uses into zone. We are bringing forward recommended policy for proposals for hotels in Old Town, but considered case by case through rezoning.
Chief: Violent offenses fell 5.1%. Property crime trends discussion. Bicycle theft is a common property offense in Victoria. "At its peak in 2015, more than 800 bikes were stolen in a single year." Through provincial CSTEP funding, identified individuals involved in bike thefts. Positive results.
This is hilarious because Marg is so openly trying to confirm assertions from Social Media claims and give fuel to the "Victoria is suffering more than literally everyone everywhere." talking points. #yyj #yyjpoli

The OCP says we can have 6 storeys without consultation, so residents won't have a say. It's going to cause havoc on the streets. So disappointed that that real consultation hasn't happened block by block.

Susan Kim 김수잔@susankimyyj.bsky.social · 4w agoCaradonna: Wanted to make TDMs mandatory in cases of low or no parking. LGA makes that complicated, I've learned. There's still rationale for cash in lieu now to avoid driving up cost of housing. Developers aren't just gonna eat these costs.
