This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate. The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.

"Out of spite for President Donald Trump, Carney is accelerating the decoupling of a trade bloc that has generated enormous prosperity for North America." Seriously, Wapo editorial - you're going with Canadian spite? www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Great news everyone: luckily we have a 'Board of Peace' in place. Meanwhile the US is eyeing Canada and Greenland like real estate, Russia's testing NATO's patience in Poland, Ukraine's still burning, Iran's simmering, and the Houthis just added Saudi Arabia to their group chat. Very peaceful.

Happy Independence Day Canada. The threats are going to come fast, furious and over the top. They will threaten escalation because the White House cannot abide an independent and democratic nation on their border. But we've got this. The Juno beach gene is in every one of us. Carry on

What a nasty man Trump is. Canada and the U.S. prospered for years because of our free trade and friendship. Because of one really stupid, childish man-baby, people all over North America will suffer. I believe he’s had so many losses that he wants to appear “strong.” PM Carney, keep being classy.

Most American have zero interest in the US government treating one of our most important historical allies and trading partners like this. But the worst among us is running the country, thanks to the worst and most irresponsible voters among us.

Canada's leaders are doing the necessary, hard, right thing. Team MAGA is doing the senseless, dishonorable, self-damaging thing. And no one in the GOP dares stand up to it—even those whose states are most harmed by this stupid "trade war" and disrespect to what was our closest ally.

Mark Carney: "This fall we will begin intense discussions with the European Union, the world's second-largest economy, to build a much stronger and deeper economic and security partnership"

Ossoff: "Trump apparently promised pardons for entire WH staff, which is what you do when you run it like a casino. Maybe the West Wing is too busy placing bets on the war to care, but American are getting hurt...in Trump’s America the well-connected get stock tips & everybody else makes sacrifices"

Republican Timeline: “There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war” - Lincoln “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” - Reagan “Open the fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah” - Trump (on Easter)

Why isn’t Trump asking his Board of Peace members to help him open up the strait of hormuz? Why is he begging all the Western democracies who he has been insulting the last year to help him?

Thank you Bruce Springsteen for “Streets of Minneapolis,” a powerful tribute to Renee Good and Alex Pretti and to the strength of the people of Minnesota.

The gun people say Americans need guns to defend against a tyrannical government. A guy with a legal gun shows up to confront a government acting tyrannical, and the government shoots him dead because he had a gun. Make it make sense.
