Lifting this up from @haleyformi.bsky.social as well. This is fantastic & gracious message after a bitter primary. She fought valiantly and ended the fight w/ class. I respect that. People forget how incredibility contentious Obama/Clinton primary was in 2008. That worked out ok. GO BLUE. 💙💛

"I love Michigan and am so proud to have put up my hand to serve. I spoke with Abdul a few moments ago to offer him my full support as we work to defeat Mike Rogers this November.

Thank you, Michigan."

Thank you, Michigan! I’m so proud of the movement we built over the past year. No matter the outcome tonight, I’m so grateful for your support. ❤️

Honestly - I haven’t spent too much time thinking about primary elections this year as I find all the back and forth debate/fighting usual and predictable narratives exhausting. That said - just remember kids: Vote blue no matter who. 🌊🤘🏼

BTW the Aug recess is starting w/ 2 gifts 4 Susan Collins: 1. The performative "NO" vote on Blanche that the Rs are setting up. 2. The CR vote with "temporary" restraints on Vought that expires in December via Senate Dems (Murray/Schumer) - she gets to claim "bipartisanship" around. DC kabuki.

No surprise. Republicans need just one vote out of Cassidy, Murkowski, and Collins to move this. And, it's a good bet that Cassidy or Murkowski will provide it (heck if they were in big trouble, they'd get Fetterman to do it too). It's kabuki but hill reporters are hype her as being "moderate."

Todd Blanche’s confirmation prospects are picking up steam. His nomination to become attorney general is ready for a floor vote having cleared the Judiciary Committee. Once-undecided Utah Sen. John Curtis told Semafor he now plans to back Blanche after meeting with him twice and reviewing the deal on Trump’s “anti-weaponization” fund negotiated by fellow Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. “Having an attorney general that has his own mind and his own thought process is important. And I actually like the answers that I heard in regard to that,” the Utahn said. Between Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Republicans need one more vote to clinch it for Blanche. Cassidy said “no comment” when asked, Murkowski told reporters she has “not determined … whether I’m going to talk to you guys,” and Collins is undecided.

Susan comes out against Todd Blanche now that he's got the votes. So tiresome. (We called it: tinyurl.com/3bepafkz) #MEpolitics

This is what a decade of Trumpism has encouraged -- a GOP gubernatorial candidate in Colorado who's unsure of how many people he's killed but positive that his Jewish opponent is a tool of Satan. These people were in the tent before, but the rest of the party seemed embarrassed about them. No more!

Depicting Jewish people with horns is a centuries-old, dehumanizing, antisemitic trope. Democratic Gov nominee Phil Weiser is outspoken about his mother’s birth in a Nazi concentration camp, his family members killed in the Holocaust, and the threat posed by antisemitism today.

Trump ‘s deployment of National Guard troops D.C. “is set to cost an additional $1.4 billion through the end of the Trump administration … The estimate, which encompasses October 2026 through January 2029, adds to the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on the mission to date.”

The estimate, provided to Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren, covers the period from Oct. 1, 2026, through the end of the president’s term.

this is powerful conversation - featuring grassroots leaders like Sierra Kilpatrick, who are organizing to protect public schools and other vital resources in the face of billionaire-backed efforts to cut taxes and cut off state revenue sources in red states like MO. Inspiring stuff.

Wooohoo, just wrapped up our first Substack Live on Liars' Ledger and it was a doozy. Sierra Kilpatrick, @socalmom.bsky.social and I discussed the FIERCE URGENCY of voting NO on Missouri Amendment 5. crooksandliars.substack.com/p/missouri-a...
