Yesterday in Humboldt Park, ICE goons pulled weapons on teenage activists Ben and Sam Luhmann. Just a month prior one had shoved 16-year-old Sam to the ground for legally filming their activities in Joliet, IL. The courage of these brothers is unmatched.

I grew up in a neighborhood with many racist families. Mine was not one of them. As I got older I would ask them “what did they ever do to you to make you hate them?” They never had an answer. They were raised to hate others that were not like them. It’s the root cause of many of our problems.

ICE IS KILLING PEOPLE IN THE SHADOWS. Prisciliano Trejo Ricano begged for a doctor. He became the 50th person to die in ICE custody. Anne Frank wasn’t shot; she died of neglect in a camp. ICE uses the same playbook: murder by medical neglect. ICE DETENTION CENTERS ARE DEATH CAMPS.

Reports of ICE questioning and detaining Native Americans, including challenges to tribal IDs, should concern every American. Don’t tell me this is only about immigration status anymore.
