40% of local people say they can't get an NHS dentist. This crisis has been building for years. Yet the Government is only now starting to consult on a solution. That's not good enough.

Streatham St Leonard's (Lambeth) Council By-Election Result: 🔶 LDM: 41.7% (+26.4) 🌍 GRN: 35.0% (-12.5) 🌹 LAB: 15.1% (-7.8) 🌳 CON: 4.3% (-3.1) ➡️ RFM: 2.6% (-4.2) ✝️ CPA: 1.3% (New) Liberal Democrat GAIN from Green. Changes w/ 2026.

The review into the maternity care crisis makes for harrowing reading. Years of under investment has left the maternity department in St Helier with unsafe pipework and there are threats that it may have to close. The government must bring forward its delayed plan for a new maternity building now.👇

The next PM must focus relentlessly on the economy: 🏗️Go big on capital investment into homes, energy and transport. 💷Take on radical tax reform to incentivise job creation and growth. 🇪🇺Be brave enough to fix our relationship with the EU. The bolder the better.

The Government’s rejection of Thames Water’s rescue deal doesn’t go far enough. They should put them into administration and change the ownership. End privatisation and put the customers in charge.

Great news today as we have secured funding for an extension of St Helier's A & E. The project will cost nearly £60 million and will go a long way to ending corridor care. I am going to keep the pressure on to make sure that we see spades in the ground as quickly as possible.

I’ve just heard the disgraceful news that the Environment Agency has approved an increase in waste processing at the Beddington incinerator. This is despite strong opposition from me, the Council, and local residents. 1/4

Fascinating visit to Zotefoams in Beddington – a global manufacturer employing hundreds of people in our area. They produce high-quality products used in everything from construction and cars to planes and footwear. Great to see a business like this thriving locally.

Youth unemployment is approaching one million – the highest it’s been in a decade. At the same time, local businesses are under real pressure. Rising business rates and higher employer National Insurance costs are making it harder to hire, invest and even stay afloat. 1/2

The argument that FPTP delivers stable governments is surely now dead. Massive majorities drawn from minority support will keep ending up this way. It's time our electoral system caught up with our political reality.

When it comes to career support, the Jobcentre often feels like a last resort. Take my dad, for example. After years as a scaffolder, he couldn’t keep going and had to change careers in his 50s. But there wasn’t any real support until he was out of work and on benefits. That isn’t good enough 1/2

I recently visited St Helier Hospital to see the major upgrades to the Intensive Care and Maternity units – a big step forward. But staff were clear: the A&E is under huge pressure, with corridor care sadly becoming the norm. 1/2

We are pleased to announce the birth of our first child, Lyla! Gemma and I are so grateful to the staff at St Helier Hospital who looked after us during our extended stay. We are very pleased to be home now and to be starting this new chapter of sleepless nights and loving cuddles! 1/3

Great to visit Sutton Bus Garage and meet the drivers, engineers and managers who keep our buses running day in, day out. Reliable bus services are a lifeline for our area as one of the few parts of London without the Tube. 1/2

I really enjoyed joining Get On Downs at their recent event in Wallington. It was great to see children enjoying all the activities on offer and to hear from parents and carers about the vital support this local charity provides all year round. 1/2
