One last reminder: our general election campaign kickoff fundraiser is today at Duende at 5:30! Looks like the weather will hold off for us, so come on out!

Democratic & Working Families Party Candidate for NY Assembly in District 149. Capitalism is incompatible with a sustainable future.
Had an AMAZING morning at the Touch A Truck event at Canalside! The boys were a bit less enthused to meet Shark Girl, though.
Another day, another giant truck with a PBA sticker parked illegally in Niagara Square. A society cannot survive if those tasked with "law enforcement" do not follow the same laws, and do not face consequences for breaking them.
Abolishing ICE is the compromise position. Justice for Joan Sebastian Guerrero, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, and all who’ve suffered from ICE’s violence.
The Sunday news you all logged on to talk about… right? Proud to be featured in the New York Times alongside Mo Brown!
The Democratic Socialists Winning Elections Far From New York City
They won Democratic state legislative primaries in Buffalo and Syracuse, showing how the party’s messaging and ground game can work outside New York City.

If anyone is out for South Buffalo Porchfest, I'm playing at 1:00 at 29 Whitfield! Come watch me make an ass of myself
I still get asked regularly for directions when I'm in downtown Buffalo. Unsurprisingly, the fact that strangers trust me enough to ask makes me insanely proud
Can’t lie, the fact that y’all were driving with PAPER maps is insane. Even worse, you had to ask random strangers for directions??
This is what happens when you teach a 4.5-year-old how to use Microsoft Word
Can someone explain to me why people keep translating "Cabo" to "Cape" but never "Verde" to "Green" I have been quietly losing my mind about this for weeks. It's like saying "Coast d'Ivoire" or "The Salvador", why why why why why
There is no excuse for, or compromise with, the vile hatred filling the comments of my friend Mustafa's post for the Somali flag-raising ceremony yesterday. I am deeply proud of the diversity not only of my West Side home, but of the entire 149th district. My Somali neighbors add to the excitement
Periodic reminder that all criminal theft (larceny, robbery, burglary, etc.) each year - ADDED TOGETHER - is less than employers steal from their employees.
The company that runs New York’s state-funded home care program has agreed to pay its workers $162 million to settle a wage theft lawsuit filed last year. The deal is one of the largest alleged wage theft payouts in New York history.
The votes are in, and @mobreezy213.bsky.social has unseated Bill Magnarelli, who has held this seat since 1999 www.syracuse.com/politics/cny...
Mo Brown claims victory over Bill Magnarelli in NY Assembly primary
Magnarelli has represented Central New York in the Assembly for 28 years.

Lots of eyes on downstate primaries of course, but don't sleep on CNY. We've got a _very close_ race for state assembly here in Syracuse. Mo Brown is the DSA and Indivisible-endorsed challenger to longtime incumbent Bill Magnarelli
This was a Christmas present from Sarah that I saved for a special occasion. I always believed in my heart that we would win this, and this day would come. (I was way too tired to get into it last night.)
To be able to do something I love (photography) for not only a candidate I believe in, but someone I call a friend, is such a gift. Looking forward to capturing many more moments in the future!
I am still catching up on life, but let me give some flowers real quick: enormous thank you to @bobz.bsky.social for his amazing photography at our events. He has captured wonderful moments for us over and over, and I am grateful to call him a friend!

From the start, this has been OUR campaign. We are building a coalition of working people who know a better world is possible, and are fighting for it. We’re not done: next up, we’re taking on MAGA, the far right, and even more corporate greed.
Adam Bojak wins as an unapologetic democratic socialist in upstate New York! For years pundits told us our vision for New York would never resonate outside of NYC and downstate… @bojak4assembly.bsky.social proves them ALL wrong. This is a movement for ALL working people, no matter your zip code 🌹
Let me be the first to say: today begins a brand new election cycle for the general in November - which means our public funds reset to 0, and every in-district donation gets matched again by the state! You know you want to: secure.actblue.com/donate/bojak...

State Sen. Jeremy Zellner's tenure in Albany appears to be over. Nearly all voting precincts have reported in, and Jon Rivera sits with a comfortable 9% lead over Zellner.
Good morning everyone! Polls open in less than twenty minutes. Make sure you get out there today before 9:00pm and vote Bojak (AD149) and Rivera (SD61)!
The UAW, a union with some 400,000 active members across the U.S., has voted to divest its estimated $400,000 from Israel bonds. The divestment vote makes the UAW the first major national union to vote to divest from Israel.

Despite all this, our communities still shine brightly. The 50th anniversary of the Buffalo Juneteenth celebration is one example of how Western New Yorkers resist, persist, and celebrate. Wishing you and yours a healthy, happy Juneteenth filled with rest, joy, and connection!
Slavery still haunts us today, present in unpaid labor in prisons and police violence, including the recent murder of 1 year-old Kohen Wiley in Texas. We cannot and must not look away from the evil in our society—we must fight it head on.
Happy Freedom Day! Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the full emancipation of Black Americans from slavery-two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. We are also reminded that the fight for civil rights and racial justice is ongoing, and will take all of us.
Let's go!
We're proud to join Bernie Sanders in endorsing Adam Bojak for NY State Assembly (AD-149)! A housing rights attorney, Adam is fighting for affordable housing, universal healthcare, stronger unions, and a government that puts people before corporate profits. Vote @bojak4assembly.bsky.social ✊
