🇪🇺 🇨🇵 French Book lover and Romain Gary fan. I blog in English at www.bookaroundthecorner.com I read a lot of American Lit and Nature Writing.

I've finished reading Don't Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves by Jonas Gardell. Just wow. It's an important book and I hope I'll be able to write a good blog entry about it. Has anyone read it?

Throughout Women in Translation Month, we'll be celebrating the brilliant translators behind Charco Press books, sharing their thoughts on translation, the books they love and why bringing stories across languages matters. Our series begins with Alison, co-translator of I'm Still Here.

Got my copies of the French edition of SAINT OF THE NARROWS STREET (aka UNE AFFAIRE DE FAMILLE), available now from Éditions Gallmeister. Translated by Simon Baril and Juliane Nivelt. Beautiful cover art by Aurélie Bert.
