Sculptor specializing in prehistoric critters, but I also draw whatever They/Them

“Don’t get a tattoo! Don’t get a piercing! Your body is a temple!” Linda what we do with temples is decorate them. Like literally that’s the main thing we do

Shiny new microraptor! It's been a while since I've had a fun, experimental personal project like this. He's got sharp little claws and realistically foldable wings. (I'll be carrying him around at #DinoConUK, not a vendor this year but I can't resist making a new creature to bring along anyway...)

A sparkling plush microraptor with its wings spread. Its plumage is midnight blue with silver glitter, apart from the white chest and two long white tail feathers. The face and feet are bright blue, and the eyes are silver. It has shiny black plastic claws. The plush microraptor perches on the arm of a garden chair, balanced on its two feet with its wings folded at its sides. The secondary feathers overlap the primary feathers. The plush microraptor leans forwards, still perched and balanced on the arm of the chair.

Loot drop after defeating me: -decade old gaming laptop (has Minecraft) -low quality early game rifle -handmade makeshift harness and leash for a very small cat -3 lbs of quarters in a leather coin purse -bag of resin theropod teeth -rechargeable waterproof diving flashlight

Loot drop after defeating me: -canvas messenger bag with too many pockets -numerous pins and buttons of substantially more cumulative value than the bag itself -tiny ancient laptop covered in stickers -dented metal water bottle also covered in stickers -dangly earrings -two (2) crystal bracelets

I feel like people think "birds are dinosaurs" is a weird fun fact that is "technically true" but I don't know how to emphasize that there are tens of thousands of species of theropod dinosaur on the planet with us right now. People keep them AS PETS. WE EAT THEM.

Really taken with Haolong dongi, out today from Jiandong Huang, Pascal Godefroit and team. Just submitted news article on it. An iguanodontian with abundant hollow spikes across the neck and body, projecting from among conventional basement scales, and with rows of plate-like scales along the tail.

Life reconstruction of Haolong in dark forest environment, by Fabio Manucci.Montage showing scales and spikes of Haolong, with anatomical position marked on life reconstruction of whole animal. From Huang et al. 'Cellular-level preservation of cutaneous spikes in an Early Cretaceous'.
